Refund Policy

Important Notice
All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. Please read this policy carefully before making your reservation.
1. Non-Refundable Deposit
1.1 Deposit Policy
The required deposit of $1,000 is non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to:
- Personal emergency or illness
- Change in travel plans
- Work or family obligations
- Weather-related concerns
- Travel restrictions or advisories
- Changes in personal financial situation
1.2 Purpose of Non-Refundable Deposit
The non-refundable deposit policy ensures we can maintain our intimate group sizes and cover non-recoverable costs associated with your reservation, including venue bookings, staffing, and advance preparations for your retreat experience.
2. Final Payment and Cancellations
2.1 Final Payment Deadline
Final payment is due 30 days before your retreat departure date. For the Uvita Women's Wellness Retreat, final payment of $1,500 is due by September 2, 2025.
2.2 Late Payment Consequences
Failure to pay the final balance by the specified deadline may result in forfeiture of your retreat spot. No refund of the deposit will be provided in case of late payment forfeiture.
2.3 Cancellations After Final Payment
Cancellations made after the final payment deadline are non-refundable for both the deposit and final payment. However, your spot may be transferred to another guest with our approval, and we will work with you to facilitate this when possible.
3. Transfer Options
3.1 Spot Transfer to Another Person
If you cannot attend your retreat, you may transfer your spot to another person subject to our approval. The new participant must meet all retreat requirements including age restrictions and conduct policies.
3.2 Transfer to Future Retreat
In exceptional circumstances and at our sole discretion, we may allow you to transfer your reservation to a future retreat. This option is not guaranteed and is subject to availability and additional terms.
3.3 Transfer Fees
Transfer requests may be subject to administrative fees and any price differences between retreat offerings. All transfers must be approved in advance and in writing.
4. Travel Insurance Recommendation
Strongly Recommended
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unexpected circumstances including:
- Medical emergencies or illness
- Family emergencies
- Flight cancellations or delays
- Weather-related travel disruptions
- Work-related conflicts
Travel insurance is not included in your retreat cost but can provide coverage that our refund policy does not offer.
5. Retreat Modifications by Travel in Serene
5.1 Schedule Changes
While every detail has been thoughtfully planned, we remain in tune with nature's rhythm. Should weather or unforeseen events affect our schedule, activities may be adjusted or substituted with equally meaningful and memorable alternatives.
5.2 Retreat Cancellation by Travel in Serene
In the unlikely event that we must cancel a retreat due to circumstances beyond our control, we will provide a full refund of all payments made or offer the option to transfer to a future retreat.
5.3 Minimum Group Size
Retreats require a minimum number of participants to proceed. If minimum enrollment is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the retreat and provide full refunds or transfer options.
6. Special Circumstances
6.1 Medical Emergencies
While we understand that medical emergencies are unexpected and serious, our deposit remains non-refundable. We strongly encourage travel insurance to cover these situations.
6.2 Force Majeure Events
In cases of extraordinary circumstances such as natural disasters, political instability, or travel bans that make retreat participation impossible, we will work with guests on a case-by-case basis to find appropriate solutions.
7. Processing Refunds and Transfers
7.1 Refund Timeline
When refunds are applicable (such as retreat cancellation by Travel in Serene), refunds will be processed within 10-14 business days to the original payment method.
7.2 Transfer Processing
All transfer requests must be submitted in writing and are subject to approval. Processing may take 5-7 business days.

9. Acknowledgment
By booking a retreat with Travel in Serene, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this refund policy. This policy is part of your booking agreement and is binding upon payment of your deposit.
